About the Position

Optivest Health Services has a vacancy for Client Service Consultants to provide dedicated support to clients with their medical scheme, gap cover, and related health products. This role is focused on delivering professional service and ongoing assistance to ensure clients receive the best value from their health cover.

Key Functions

  • Provide telephonic and email support to clients regarding their medical scheme and supplementary products
  • Liaise with medical schemes, brokers, and service providers to resolve client queries
  • Assist clients with claims, complaints, and escalations, ensuring timely resolution
  • Provide ongoing support with the management of clients’ full health cover portfolios (medical schemes, gap cover, health cards, programmes, etc.)
  • Facilitate optimisation of chronic medication benefits
  • Update and maintain accurate client information
  • Conduct follow-ups with clients where necessary
  • Ensure all communication and actions adhere to FAIS, FICA, and POPIA requirements

 

Qualifications Required

  • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • RE5 Certificate required if DOFA registered (can be obtained while employed at Optivest if not previously registered with FSCA)
  • Inseta record with NQF L5 qualification relevant to financial services industry – Required if DOFA registered (can be obtained while employed at Optivest)
  • CMS accreditation (advantageous)

 

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a client service or call centre environment
  • Medical scheme service and/or administration experience
  • Knowledge of financial services and health insurance products (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with FAIS, FICA, and regulatory requirements
